Hercules Municipal Utility (HMU)

The Hercules Municipal Utility (HMU) was created to provide safe, reliable, and cost effective electric service to retail customers that are located in and around new development areas in Hercules. The HMU provides its customers with exceptional value and service. The HMU also provides the City and its residents with the financial benefits of a healthy and ongoing enterprise operation.

In 2005, the City Council commissioned a review and analysis of HMU (PDF).
