Outdoor Facility Rental Application

 The City of Hercules offers many of the City's facilities for rent when not being used for City sponsored programs or services. For specific facility information, please select from the links below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Parks & Recreation office at (510) 799-8291.

Community/Swim Center:
Celebrate wonderful occasions at the largest facility rental in Hercules! This facility holds a maximum of 300 people and includes tables, chairs, parking lot, restrooms, wood flooring, a commercial size kitchen, and a stage.

The Foxboro Community Center is in the middle of the Foxboro Park and has many amenities to enjoy. Rent the Foxboro Community Center for events, parties and other celebrations. Facility holds a maximum of 48 people. Rental of the Foxboro Community center includes restrooms, sink, tables, chairs, and a great view.

City Hall Council Chambers:

The chambers room has recently been added as a rental space.  Whether you are a non-profit organization, homeowner's association or patron looking at holding a private gathering, the council chambers is a great venue for any meeting. This space has a maximum capacity of 100 people. Please note: No food or beverages are allowed to be served in the council chambers room.

Refugio Valley Park Picnic Tables
Picnic tables are now available for rent! Renting the picnic tables will be able to ensure that you have a space reserved for your party. The rental times are for a 9 hour duration which include a deposit which would go back to you as long as all garbage was thrown away and there was no damage to the tables. Park restrictions include no amplified music, no alcohol and no inflatable jumpers.

Gymnasium Rental:

Rent out the gymnasium for a group game of basketball, volleyball or other organized sport. Hurry in soon, as space and days are limited.

Reservations will only be accepted with a completed application and payment for the hours rented. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. All contact regarding the reservations, fees, rental time and on site coordination will be arranged with the original applicant only. Adult supervision is required by applicant during the event. (Applicants interested in renting the gym are encouraged to view the facility prior to renting.) The gym has a maximum capacity of 100 persons for a sports event.

Standard rental includes the main room with two (2) portable basketball units or two (2) volleyball units, portable bleachers and indoor restrooms.

Field Rental
Reservations are required for the use of baseball fields. For detailed information on date availability and application procedures, please contact the recreation department during normal business hours. Reservations will be received on a first come, first serve basis.

Participate in a great game of tennis at any of our 3 tennis courts located at Refugio Valley, Woodfield, and Foxboro. To ensure availability, you may reserve the courts daily from 7am until dusk.

No Jumpers Allowed:  
Due to liability issues, the City of Hercules will no longer be taking reservations or allowing any inflatable structures or jumpers on any city property (parks and/or facilities). Safety concerns and issues surrounding the City's liability have caused the City to eliminate the use of jumpers/inflatable structures. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but believes that the safety of residents must be a top priority.

Residents can still host parties and events at City parks, even though jumpers will no longer be permitted. Additional picnic tables and BBQ pits were added to several City parks over the summer due to high demand.
