4th of July Parade & Fireworks
7/4/2010 4:00 PM - 9:45 PM
4000 San Pablo Avenue
The City of Hercules 4th of July celebration is quickly approaching. The parade begins at 4:00pm, at the corner of South Front Street and Tsushima, continuing on to Sycamore Avenue, then San Pablo Avenue and ending at the Market Hall stage. Food and games will follow the parade at the ending of the parade. Then at dusk, enjoy the fireworks at Market Hall or along the Hercules Waterfront.
During the parade, from approximately 3:45pm to 5:15pm, the following roads will be closed:
San Pablo Avenue from Hercules Avenue to John Muir Parkway
Sycamore Avenue from Tsushima to Willow Avenue
South Front Street from Tsushima to Sycamore Avenue
John Muir Parkway from San Pablo Avenue to end of Parkway
Tsushima Avenue from John Muir Parkway to Sycamore Avenue
Please expect heavy taffic delays during this time. Also for the parade, there will be NO parking along South Front Street. The City of Hercules and Hercules Police Department ask for your patience during this time. Homes in west Hercules can be accessed via Hercules Avenue, although it is highly advised to avoid travel if possible. Roads will be reopened as the parade traffic clears, but please plan on using an alternative route, if you do travel between 3:45pm and 5:15pm that afternoon.
For the fireworks display, Willet Avenue will be closed from approximately 7:45pm to 9:45pm. Residents can access the neighborhood via Taraya at Sanderling, but must show proof of residency. Hercules Police Officers will be directing traffic during the parade and following the fireworks display to ensure the safety of all Herculeans.
We hope you will join us in the celebration. For additional information, please contact Mindy Niualiku at 510-799-8230.
