The Human Resources Department is responsible for monitoring compliance with various Human Resources Laws and Regulations pertaining to recruitment, hiring, and occupational health and safety issues as mandated by: the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
The Human Resources Department is the liaison between the current non-sworn, collectively-bargained union contracts
that provide the general guidelines relating to wages, hours of work, and other terms and conditions for employment of employees in the miscellaneous, mid-management, and confidential classifications under Teamster Local 315
