Hercules Youth Ambassador
for a trip to Japan in July-August 2019
Application deadline is January 19, 2018
Are you interested in visiting Japan in late July through early August 2019 and representing Hercules as a Youth Ambassador? A trip to Tsushima, (Hercules’ sister city) and other cities in Japan is being planned. The affiliation between the cities of Tsushima, Japan and Hercules, California USA celebrated its 36th anniversary on November 5, 2017. The portion of the trip itinerary that covers the visit to Tsushima gives youth ambassadors the chance to experience a home stay and to witness its two-day world-renowned Owari Tsushima Tenno Festival. Before returning to California, visits to Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Tokyo are expected. In addition to the Youth Ambassadors, the trip in 2019 will include adults who will also act as chaperones.
Interested students must be Hercules residents and in the 8th or 9th grade. Detailed information is included in the pages of the Youth Ambassador application packet (PDF) that can be downloaded here or requested by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. After receiving the document, read it thoroughly, print it, and fill out all of the required information before submitting it by January 19, 2018.
