Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and to the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), the City of Hercules and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) have completed a Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and a Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Hercules Intermodal Transit Center (ITC). The EIR and EIS discuss the potential for significant impacts on the environment, including: Visual and Aesthetic Resources; Noise and Vibration; and Water Resources. The original 45-day public review period for the ITC DEIR/DEIS, which began on September 17, 2010, was extended an additional 14 days and ended on November 15, 2010. Due to the time limits mandated by State law, written comments were due by 5:00 PM, November 15, 2010. Responses to comments are included in the Final EIR.
