A clearance letter is a letter from the Hercules Police Records Department stating whether or not you have had any contact with the Hercules Police Department. This can state all police contacts or only arrests with the police department. If you have no contacts with us, we will write you a letter stating such. These letters are typically needed for immigration paperwork, some types of employment, if your fingerprints were taken and cannot be read by the state, etc. The letters cost $45 per letter. In order to request for a letter to be done you can fill out the form below and return this via mail or in person to our police department. Once the request is received we will give you a call and let you know when the letter is available for pick up within 3 days. Once you pick up your letter your payment is due and you must present ID for us to ensure you are the correct person picking up the letter. We do not release letters to anyone besides the requester.
If you leave your home for periods of time and would like our police department to be notified of your absence please fill out the Vacation Watch form (link below) and drop off in the police department lobby or you may also mail that to us. This way if something may occur, we will have a way to contact you during your absence.
