In a Special Election held in June 2011, Dan Romero was elected to fill a vacancy on the Hercules City Council.
Mayor Romero moved to Hercules in 1989 with his wife, Lori and two daughters. He has been an active member of the City Council since 2011. He currently serves on the West Contra Costa Integrated Waste Management Agency, Hercules/Pinole Wastewater Committee.
Romero prides himself on his involvement with our Hercules schools and is always willing and finds time to spend with Hercules students.
Romero is currently serving in his fourth term as Councilmember. He understands that he represents Hercules and leads with the understanding of what is best for our community.
Romero’s vision of Hercules will be complete with the construction of Safeway on Market Hall, completion of Sycamore Crossings and a train station at the Intermodal Transit Center in our Bayfront community.
